As Senior Coordinator, Donor Engagement, you’ll be the warm, professional first point of contact for many supporters—and a driver of how donors feel connected to Make-A-Wish Alaska & Washington’s mission. You’ll blend stewardship, writing, and follow-through to create memorable donor experiences, support signature events, and keep donor activity organized and moving forward.
You’ll play a key role on a high-performing and supportive team that is committed to the joy of wish kids above all else. We work hard together towards the same goals and vision, and we have fun while maintaining work-life balance.
You’ll receive generous PTO and holidays, as well as health insurance and parking/transit reimbursement, in addition to retirement matching once you qualify. We have a welcoming and mission-first culture.
This position is somewhat flexible in terms of remote work, but it does require at least three days per week in our Seattle office. Those days may be decided by leadership based on the needs of the organization, specifically incoming mail and deposits.
- Mission-forward impact: help ensure donors feel seen, thanked, informed, and inspired—so more wishes can be granted.
- Stewardship & communications (biggest focus): coordinate thank-you calls, notes, digital touchpoints, impact reporting, and tailored donor correspondence.
- Volunteer leadership: coordinate the Gratitude Group volunteers who help thank donors.
- Signature moments: support wish celebrations and donor gatherings, plus key roles in Wish Night Auction & Gala and the Wish Heroes Luncheon.
- Data + details: track engagement and interactions in Salesforce, request lists/reports, and keep stewardship materials organized.
- Strong internal partner: support Advancement leaders with meeting prep, summaries/action items, and responsive donor/customer service.

In 1986, thanks to the dedication and support of our local community, we granted six wishes. Nearly four decades later, we celebrate granting more than 9,000 wishes thanks to YOUR kindness, compassion and investment.
