Andrew’s health took an unexpected turn shortly after his first birthday. During a family vacation, an emergency hospital visit led to devastating news. Andrew had a brain tumor.
In the eight months that followed, Andrew endured two emergency surgeries, six rounds of chemotherapy and three stem cell transplants.
During treatment, Andrew’s care team decorated his hospital room with pictures of his favorite animals, and regular visits from the service dogs helped lift his spirits and offer much-needed comfort.
These small, joyful moments sparked Andrew’s love for animals. So, when Andrew was granted a wish, his family knew it had to involve animals, but they needed WishMakers like you to make it possible.
