Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We are on a quest to bring every eligible child's wish to life, because a wish is an integral part of a child's treatment journey. Research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness. Together, generous donors, supporters, staff, and volunteers grant wishes to our kids. Since 1984, Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas has granted more than 6,500 wishes to local children across 40 counties across central and south Texas.

Our 2024 Wishes & Gratitude Report is here! It celebrates the hope, joy, and generosity of our donors, supporters, partners, volunteers, and wish families — everyone who makes wishes possible. See the incredible impact we’ve made together and hear the heartfelt stories of wish kids whose lives were forever changed by a single wish
