Employment Opportunities
Event Giving Manager
Make-A-Wish® Oregon is looking to fill the role of Event Giving Manager to coordinate and execute peer-to-peer and external events, including the Make-A-Wish Oregon Trailblaze Challenge and Youth Fundraising Programs. This role will support key Make-A-Wish events and campaigns such as Wish Ball, Golf for Wishes, World Wish Month, and the Wish Upon a Car Raffle. They will be responsible for recruiting new partners and soliciting event-related gifts, personally raising $500,000+ annually through events. This position is part of a collaborative team and will work closely with communications, marketing, and mission staff members to create opportunities for transformational giving. This position reports to the VP of Development. Salary range is $60,000 - $63,000. Benefits included.

Internship Opportunities
We offer internship opportunities for college students interested in volunteer management, program services, marketing, public relations, fundraising and events. Internships are unpaid. Make-A-Wish will provide college credit for completing a 200-hour internship. Internship seasons are based on standard academic semesters. For more information, please email [email protected].

Make-A-Wish Oregon finances endeavors through corporate sponsorships, special events, foundation grants and individual contributions. However, we do not solicit funds by telephone and receive no federal or state funding. As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, all contributions are deductible to the extent permitted by law. Our financial statements are audited locally by CliftonLarsonAllen LLP. We take our responsibility for the monies donated to our cause very seriously and are pleased to confirm that as of Q2 of FY23, the Make-A-Wish Foundation Oregon spent 81% of every dollar on wish granting and related program expenses. Only 5% of every dollar was spent on management and general costs and 14% was allocated to fundraising.
