Jebner's Wish

Jeremy Ebner made an impact on everyone he met through his sincere passion for life and unique observations about the world.

He was determined to make a difference in his life, even during the most trying of times. Jeremy (or Jebner, as his friends call him) discovered he had cancer in 2012, but that did not stop him from dreaming up ways to help others also battling the disease.

He talked a lot about what he was was going to do once he was done with treatment. Of all his ideas, he seemed most passionate about one in particular. He knew how difficult it was to fight leukemia and could not imagine a child having to go through what he was experiencing. Combining his desires to help these children and his love of golf, the University of Oregon alumnus decided he wanted to create a golf fundraiser that benefitted Make-A-Wish® Oregon.

Sadly, on June 2, 2013, Jeremy passed away after a year and a half long fight with leukemia. He was unable to make his dream come true.

The Jebner’s Wish Golf Tournament, Dinner and Auction was started as a way to fulfill his dream. Those close to him came together and organized the 1st Annual Jebner’s Wish Golf Tournament in October 2013, raising $15,000 in support of local wishes.

Since that day, they’ve hosted seven additional golf tournaments as well as other fundraising events, raising $150,000 to help make 26 local wishes come true.

An incredible feat that would surely make Jeremy proud.
