Gannon University senior business students Cameron Cavanagh – who is also a wish alum – Christine Green, Asla Alkhafaji and Jacob Roberts formed a team, “Winners for Wishes,” to create a “Pop-Up Business” as part of one of their classes. Over the course of six weeks, they came up with a unique business model and then opened, ran and closed their business within a two-week timeframe. Each team chose a charity to donate proceeds to, and this awesome team chose Make-A-Wish! Team Winners for Wishes recently presented a check for $1,131.30, representing funds raised through their pop-up business – all to help create life-changing wishes for local children facing critical illness.
