COVID-19 has impacted us all, including Make-A-Wish. With 80% of our wishes involving travel across Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, 600 wish kids have had their wish experience delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and that number will grow.
Over the past year, we granted more than 530 life-changing wishes for kids like Evelyn who wished for a horse, Ava who wished for a room remodel, Lance who wished for a wheelchair accessible playset, Jasmine who wished for a shopping spree, and Lincoln who wished for a treehouse! These wishes delivered hope and now more than ever, hope is essential! Especially now, we remain committed to delivering hope to wish kids and their families despite an unprecedented number of wishes waiting to be granted.
