wish kid Lance

"The doctors do their best to keep Jazzy and Lance alive, and what my wife and I try to do is give them a life. And this gives them a life." -Keith, wish dad

By supporting Make-A-Wish this holiday season, you can help bring joy back into a child’s life-a child-like Lance who wished for a wheelchair accessible playset that he and his sister could both enjoy.

3-year-old Lance and his sister, Jazzy, were both born with respiratory failure. Both children are immunocompromised, require around-the-clock care, and leaving the house is difficult, especially during the global pandemic. Lance wished for a wheelchair-accessible playset in his own backyard-a place where he and his sister, and family members of all abilities, could safely swing and play together.

On the day Lance’s wish came true in August, a parade of cars made up of friends, family and community members, drove past his house with banners and balloons to celebrate. Lance’s wish brought him joy and so much more hope for the future. His wish uplifted his entire family and inspired his community to get involved.

"We can actually take them out here every day and allow them to have fun and give them quality of life."

-Keith, wish dad
