Make-A-Wish® Missouri & Kansas proudly manages and safeguards the generous contributions of individual donors, corporations and other organizations. Our fundraising efforts, fiscal practices, and business operations all are designed to support a single purpose: to grant wishes that change lives. Â
Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas finances endeavors through corporate sponsorships, special events, foundation grants and individual contributions. However, we do not solicit funds by telephone and receive no federal or state funding. As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, all contributions are deductible to the extent permitted by law. Our financial statements are audited locally by CliftonLarsonAllen LLP.Â
At Make-A-Wish, we take our responsibility for the funds donated very seriously and are pleased to confirm that according to the fiscal year 2023 audit results, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Missouri & Kansas spent 72% of every dollar on wish granting and related program expenses. Only 17.5% was spent on fundraising and 10.5% was allocated to management and general costs. For full financial details please review our most recent FY23 Audited Financial Statements or our latest 990.  Â
We are proud that Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas is an accredited charity under the BBB Wise Giving Alliance's Standards for Charity Accountability
