When Josh and Domonique moved to South Texas, one thing they knew for certain was that they wanted to give back locally. 

After discovering the Make-A-Wish mission while living in California, they were eager to continue their WishMaker journey with Make-A-Wish Central & South Texas. 

After completing volunteer orientation, Josh and Domonique signed up to serve as volunteer event hosts for a recent Kendra Scott giveback event in San Antonio, introducing new community members to the life changing power of a wish. 

"It was fulfilling to be able to spread the word about the organization and how it's helping local children with critical illnesses," Josh shared. "Many people had not heard of Make-A-Wish, but seemed to resonate with the mission once they learned more about it." 

As busy young professionals, Josh and Domonique appreciate the many ways volunteers can get involved, from events and wish granting to advocacy and community outreach opportunities that fit a variety of schedules. 

Their advice for someone considering volunteering? "Reach out and jump right in! The onboarding process is very easy. Anyone can do it," Josh shared.
