If you asked Ian about the World Series, he would tell you exactly when it started: October 24th, a day he had been counting down for months, hoping one day he would experience baseball’s biggest stage for himself. 

As a lifelong baseball fan, he loved everything about the game, from cheering on his favorite team, the Atlanta Braves, to imagining what it would be like to meet professional players. While he had attended a few Major League Baseball games before, nothing compared to what awaited him in Los Angeles. 

Alongside his parents and younger sister, Ian traveled to the World Series, where he watched Games 3 and 4 with two other wish kids who shared his passion for baseball. Surrounded by fellow fans, the excitement of the Fall Classic, and new friendships, the trip quickly became much more than watching a game. 

For a few days, Ian stepped away from his leukemia diagnosis and onto the field at Dodger Stadium where he walked through the dugout, met players, coaches and staff, and collected autographs on a baseball that he will treasure forever. Dressed head-to-toe in Dodgers gear, even with matching blue shoes, he soaked in every moment of an experience that most baseball fans only dream of. 

His favorite part? According to wish mom Erica Hailes, it was getting to meet the players on the field. But Ian had another answer that perfectly captured the excitement of the trip. 

“Mookie Betts stole my pen!” he laughed, a story that instantly became one of his favorite memories from the entire experience. 

For Ian’s family, the wish meant far more than a trip to a baseball game. It was an opportunity to celebrate after months of treatments, hospital visits and uncertainty. 

“He was excited and looking forward to it since diagnosis,” wish mom Erica said. “This was an unforgettable experience on the field. Ian has handled his diagnosis well, but this lifted his spirits. It was nice to get to do something unforgettable after having to go through so much medically.” 

Every baseball fan dreams of the World Series, but this dream does not have to end at the final out. For Ian, this became proof that even after everything he had been through, there was still moments of pure joy.

Ask Jaxson what he wants to be when he grows up, and he won't hesitate: a New York City police officer.

“Jaxson has loved the NYPD for the past two years, and his dream for when he grows up is to become a New York police officer,” shared wish mom Tiffany.

Whether he's playing cops and robbers, building with Legos, or imagining new adventures, Jaxson is always ready to protect and serve.  

When he's not on "patrol," he enjoys playing in the sand, building anything he can dream up, swimming with his family, and challenging friends to games on his Nintendo Switch. He also never turns down chicken nuggets, McDonald's, or a piece of chocolate.

This October, Jaxson's biggest dream is taking him to New York City, where he'll have the chance to experience what it's means to be an NYPD officer.

Before his big adventure, Jaxson got a special send-off at the Dell Match Play, where he was surrounded by local police officers and firefighters who helped kick off his wish in unforgettable fashion. One of the day's biggest highlights came when firefighters lifted Jaxson high above the golf course in a crane, giving him the chance to dump golf balls onto the green below.

As Jaxson continues his treatment, his upcoming wish is something exciting to look forward to. Until then, Jaxson is counting down the days until he can put on the uniform, meet the officers who inspire him, and live out his dream of becoming an honorary member of New York's Finest.
