When Brooklyn was diagnosed with a nervous system disorder at 17, her teenage dreams changed overnight, but one special evening gave her the chance to create memories she and her family will cherish forever. 

Because of complications related to her health and treatment, attending prom wasn't possible. But Brooklyn never stopped dreaming of a night filled with dancing, laughter, and memories shared with the people she loves most. More than anything, she wanted to be celebrated. 

When asked about her one true wish, Brooklyn shared that she dreamed of having a prom of her very own.

This May, her wish came true. As guests arrived, they were welcomed into a fairytale inspired by all of Brooklyn’s favorite things. The venue was transformed into a wonderland filled with elegant decorations, beautiful floral arrangements, and enchanting desserts. The celebration reflected Brooklyn’s love of all things magical, from her favorite color purple to her affection for My Little Pony and unicorns. 

“We would do anything to make her happy,” said wish mom Erica. 

A highlight of the evening was when Brooklyn made her grand entrance. Wearing a breathtaking purple ballgown, she looked like she had stepped straight out of a fairytale. Topped with a sparkling tiara, it was clear Brooklyn was not just attending a prom but was the guest of honor at a celebration created entirely for her. 

Brooklyn’s joy radiated throughout the evening as she waltzed her way across the dance floor, posed for countless photographs, and soaked in every moment of a prom with nearly a hundred of her closest friends and family. 

“I had never seen her dancing and so happy as she was that night,” said wish mom Erica. 

Beyond her love of fairytales, Brooklyn is a creative and imaginative young woman who enjoys playing Roblox, drawing, and expressing herself through art. She also has a deep love for animals and enjoys watching Wild Kratts, a passion that reflects her caring nature. 

This night was one where Brooklyn wasn’t focused on doctor’s appointments or medical treatments. Instead, she was a teenager enjoying her prom, surrounded by love and laughter. 

And just like she had wished, Brooklyn truly felt like a queen.
