Wish Kid Wyatt in front of Bungie Sign

 Small Beginnings, Epic Impact

40th Anniversary Tribute: Bungie is a "Top 4" In-Kind Supporter

The Bungie Foundation’s partnership with Make-A-Wish Alaska & Washington began with something small: studio visits for wish kids who dreamed of stepping inside the world of their favorite games. What started as wish experiences for kids passionate about gaming grew into something more meaningful when Bungie’s Christine Edwards stepped in to lead the collaboration. Her enthusiasm, creativity and genuine care for the mission transformed each studio visit into creative empowerment for the kids.

Bungie’s spirit of generosity quickly expanded when a local wish kid hoped to build his own computer. Bungie didn’t just offer advice — they purchased every component and invited him to their studio to build it alongside their IT team. The impact of that experience sparked a new idea: could Bungie support all electronic-based wishes?

Make-A-Wish asked. Christine and the Bungie team said yes without hesitation.

Since then, the partnership has flourished. Bungie has provided technology for wishes across the region, supported office upgrades and rallied employees to participate in programs like Ribbons and Bows, ensuring wish kids receive gifts during the holidays.

Today, The Bungie Foundation stands as one of the chapter’s most dedicated champions over the years, contributing more than $1.7 million in in-kind support, nearly $500,000 in cash support and has helped grant around 500 wishes cumulatively.

What began with a simple studio tour has grown into a powerful, enduring commitment to bringing hope and smiles to children fighting critical illnesses — children whose lives have been changed through a wish and the generous support of a gaming community.
