Best Friends Fur-ever: Aaron and Moscú Reunite
You may have heard that "a dog is a man's best friend," but for wish kid Aaron, that bond ran deeper—Moscú wasn’t just a pet; he was family. To Aaron, Moscú was a brother, a constant companion and a source of unconditional love.

Aaron & Moscú — Then
For Aaron’s 9th birthday, his world changed when he was gifted a German Shepherd puppy, who he named Moscú. From the moment they met, they were inseparable. Until one day, life threw a curveball at Aaron and his family, forcing them to relocate to Seattle. This meant making the difficult decision to leave Moscú behind with their extended family.
Every day for three years, Aaron dreamt of being reunited with Moscú, never thinking his wish would come true. But after completing his cancer treatment, Aaron qualified for Make-A-Wish, making the impossible possible.
Fast forward to March 2025—13-year-old Aaron was about to experience the surprise of a lifetime. Believing he was headed to a routine doctor’s appointment, Aaron and his family made their way to SeaTac Airport instead. When Aaron’s wish-granting volunteers stepped onto the tarmac, Aaron’s eyes lit up. They ushered him to a small, private plane a few feet away. He glanced back at his family, completely unaware that someone very special was on board.

As the passengers began to disembark, Aaron stood in quiet anticipation. Then, through the doorway, came Moscú—his beloved German Shepherd. Aaron froze— stunned — before joy overtook him. He knelt and hugged his furry friend, tears of love and disbelief running down his cheeks. His mom joined the embrace.

Aaron & Moscú — Now
“This wish meant so much to Aaron. Moscú is not just his dog, he is Aaron’s best friend, his brother. Ever since Aaron had to leave Moscú, he has missed him every day,” shared Caren, Aaron’s mom. “Seeing Aaron with Moscú again was like returning Aaron a part of his soul. This moment made him believe that wishes can come true if you wish for them with your whole heart. Since their reunion, Aaron has been happier, more cheerful, and full of hope. This wish didn’t just bring him happiness; it returned his faith and the strength to carry on."
When Make-A-Wish brought Moscú and Aaron back together, it wasn’t just a reunion—it was the return of a missing piece of him. Now, Aaron and Moscú will be best friends fur-ever and create more cherished memories together.
Wishes like Aaron’s aren’t possible without a community of support. Special thanks to everyone who helped get Moscú to Washington, including Jill at Rue’s Kennels at LAX, Magaly Benavides, the Nordstrom family for getting Moscú from LA to Seattle, Jonathan Owens/WKND Photography for capturing the joy, and Aaron’s wish-granting volunteers Stephanie and Adrian!
