Since she was born, Rebecca has had to fight. Born with ventricular septal defect, her heart condition means a lifetime of medical care. But this 9-year-old doesn’t let her critical illness stop her from living her best life. She loves swimming, baking and reading. When she was given the chance to wish, she wanted to take a Disney Cruise with her family.
Cast members created an epic family adventure. Each night, they would redecorate their room and leave behind a tray of mini cupcakes. Rebecca and her brother would rush back to their room every night to see the new decorations. They enjoyed the water slides, the nightly shows and incredible food. Disney opened Rebecca’s eyes to all the beauty in the world – the sights, the smells and sounds – and that that beauty is a part of her.
