The Royal Birthday of a Lifetime

Since she was a baby, Angelina has had several open-heart surgeries. “She had really scary moments where we didn’t know what was going to happen within the next hour even,” said her mom.

Once Angelina connected with Make-A-Wish, the fear and anxiety that surrounded her critical illness lessened. Her wish to have a royal ball as a birthday party kept her happily occupied as she journaled all the details of her wish – from a horse-drawn carriage to a lush red carpet.

Every detail that Angelina wished for came true – and on her birthday! She got her hair and makeup done with her sister, and her entire family posed together for a formal photo shoot. She danced the night away with friends. Angelina’s wish wasn’t only an opportunity to celebrate her royal imagination, accomplishments and birthday. It was also a chance for her family to create everlasting memories together.

“It’s been a hard road, so to see the joy on her face because of everything that Make-A-Wish has done, it just fills my heart with joy,” said Angelina’s dad.
