Cole has always been fascinated by sharks and environmental conservation. During his grueling treatment for his brain tumor, Cole used his time in the hospital to learn everything about his favorite species; sharks, bats, and red wolves. At age 15, he has a profound knowledge and passion for sharks and now he wants to learn how to protect them. In his quest for knowledge and hands on learning, Cole wished to be a marine biologist! He traveled from Corona to visit a research center in Florida where he gained knowledge and insight from scientists protecting and studying sharks. To help the scientific team learn more about sharks, Cole assisted with a shark tagging project to obtain valuable data regarding their natural behavior. With the help of the team, he was able to measure sharks, take samples, and so much more!
