Point Pleasant Side of Inlet: 5 Ocean Ave, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742
Two teams. One rope. One Inlet. One epic Tug of War. The Manasquan Inlet Intracoastal Tug, presented by Jersey Mike’s, returns Saturday October 9th
The third Manasquan Inlet Intracoastal Tug serves as a fundraiser for recreation departments in both Manasquan and Point Pleasant Beach, and this year with the added component of each team having a goal to raise funds for Make-A-Wish New Jersey. The festival features music, food & drink vendors, and craft vendors on each side of the Manasquan Inlet.
Highlighted by a series of tugs-of-war using a pair of 600-foot ropes linked at the center of the 450-foot wide Manasquan Inlet, the 15 heats, feature Manasquan/Monmouth County against Point Pleasant Beach/Ocean County with the Mayor’s Trophy presented to the winner. Previous heats pitted Manasquan and Point Pleasant Beach First Responders, local businesses, workout facilities, lifeguards, high school athletes and more.
The event has a rain date of October 10th.
