Hope is a pivotal part of a wish child journey. Wish child Julian is just one example of this. Julian is a low-key 11-year-old boy. He enjoys basketball, video games, and talking with his friends. Julian’s true love, however, is making music. Though Julian is a shy kid making music allows him to express and share himself with the world. When approached about a wish, Julian knew that he wanted to take his love for music to the next level. He wanted a music set-up that would allow him to create and record his very own tracks.

When the day came that Julian was presented with his new music room, he was speechless and a little overwhelmed. Once the excitement had passed, however, Julian got right to work, not worried about anyone in his room; he began creating and enjoying himself, getting lost in the music.

The next day Julian headed back to the hospital to continue treatment for Aplastic Anemia a long and tenuous treatment. This time, however, Julian took with him the knowledge that waiting back at home for him was his music, giving him hope to keep going and to keep fighting.
