Keaton as Santa

Keaton's Favorite Gift to Give is LoveĀ

Being Santa is no easy task but with a little help from his friends at Make-A-Wish, a big-hearted boy from North Dakota got the chance to be the man in red for a day and put smiles on the faces of other kids.

Keaton had been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at a young age and was referred to Make-A-Wish. When asked what he wished for, Keaton, then nine years old, replied, ā€œto make everyone happy.ā€

"Keaton was in the hospital over the holiday season and Santa and elves came to his room and delivered some toys. It really brightened his day and I think that impression has been with him for quite some time," said Kristen, Keaton's mom.

Keaton reveled in his chance to be Santa for a day, driving through downtown Fargo in a sleigh complete with elves. He returned to the hospital, not as a patient, but as Santa where he delivered toys, candy canes, and joy to the children.

"It feels so good inside and outside," Keaton said.

"His attitude is always positive, and he has a great outlook on life. I'm so very proud of him," said his mom.

As Santa, Keaton had a favorite gift to give out.

"Love."
