Wish kid Brantley and Santa on his wish in 2019

Hope, Joy and Snow for the Holidays

Every time Brantley visits the doctor for treatment for his critical illness, he draws a snowman for the receptionist.

Brantley is fascinated with snowmen, but up until last year, he had never seen snow. That all changed when Brantley’s wish to build a snowman was granted as part of Macy’s Believe Campaign.

A dedicated group of incredible donors and supporters carefully planned a once-in-a-lifetime trip for Brantley to Colorado — in particular, two key corporate sponsors. Macy’s Santa and elves, Sprinkle and Spritz, were waiting to welcome Brantley and his family before they jetted off on a special flight on Southwest Airlines®. The next day, Santa greeted Brantley at his winter cabin and led him to a wintry paradise where a tall snowman was waiting, dressed in a top hat and blue scarf. Brantley’s face lit up with joy as he ran straight toward the snowman. “I want to hug him!” Brantley excitedly said.

Brantley and his family spent the day building more snowmen friends, making snow angels in the powdery snow and laughing with Santa and his elves — bringing delight to everyone involved. Brantley even had the chance to go sledding down a snowy hillside on a bright blue sled. Brantley’s wish not only created unforgettable memories for the entire family, it brought together a committed community of wish granters to help return a precious piece of Brantley’s childhood — just in time for the holidays.
