Ken Rusk, CEO of Rusk industries and author of groundbreaking new self-help book Blue Collar Cash: Love Your Work Secure Your Future and Find Happiness for Life, teamed up with Richard K. Davis, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish America, to announce a large commitment to help grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
Rusk, an Ohio-based entrepreneur who has supported Make-A-Wish for over 20 years, sponsoring over a dozen wishes personally, is standing behind the organization once again... in a big way. First, he has committed to a long term $100,000 sponsorship to continue to help the organization that brings joy back into the lives of families when they need it most.
“Wishes are only possible thanks to individuals like Ken who give generously to help grant wishes when wish kids and their families need it most,” said Davis. “Ken understands that for a child with a critical illness, every day of waiting for a wish is one too many, and we thank him for his efforts to help Make-A-Wish bring joy back into family’s lives.”
In addition, Rusk will be donating all of his author royalties to Make-A-Wish during its launch this holiday season and throughout the spring of 2021. His book Blue Collar Cash recently hit the shelves in stores across the country and is an effective blueprint for creating, visualizing, designing and executing towards living your best life. Regardless of your level of education or occupation.
“I cannot think of a better way to give back to the community, than to share the exciting and lucrative opportunities that exist in our lives today, whether you work in an office environment, or in a trade that requires you to work with your hands,” says Rusk.
“I am excited to partner with Make-A-Wish this holiday season. By buying this book for yourself or as a gift, you can be comfortable in knowing that you are not only improving your own life, or that of someone you know, but you’ll also be supporting one of the greatest organizations out there... and through them, the children we all want so desperately to help. It’s really a win/win for all of us. My goal is to make several wishes happen in the coming weeks, I hope you can help me achieve that milestone.
I want to sincerely thank Mr. Davis, Make-A-Wish and all the staff, for their hard work and dedication, as well as for the opportunity to give back this Holiday Season, God Bless.”
About Ken Rusk & Blue Collar Cash
Ken Rusk is a blue-collar construction business entrepreneur who has launched multiple successful endeavors over the last thirty years. For the first many years of his young working life, he dug ditches for a basement repair company in northern Ohio. Over the years, he dug his way to a good life, one shovel of dirt at a time, and is now teaching others to do the same. Rusk has extensive experience in hiring, training, and developing first-time job seekers, particularly those without college degrees. He lives in Toledo, Ohio, where he runs Rusk Industries, Inc., which specializes in various forms of construction. Ken decided to write Blue Collar Cash because he saw a coming crisis in the supply of blue-collar workers , and in an economy in desperate need of skilled tradespeople, many are now seeking new paths. Blue Collar Cash is here to show you that working with your hands is a source of pride and that you can and will find your version of happiness by pursuing a good old-fashioned craft.
