Watch Athletes Transform
Lives on ESPN® "My Wish"
When children with critical illnesses meet their favorite athletes, they see the impossible as possible. They are inspired to feel stronger and more confident, because those they deeply admire bring them hope and encouragement at a time when they need it most.
Beginning Sunday, July 14th through Thursday, July 18th, ESPN will air its multi-day “My Wish” series on SportsCenter, which takes viewers on an in-depth journey into the lives of children with critical illnesses whose wishes to meet their favorite sports heroes were granted by Make-A-Wish®.
This will be the 17th year that the series will be hosted by Emmy Award-winning reporter Chris Connelly. Connelly brings these stories to life through insightful and compelling interviews with the wish kids and their families, including wishes granted by gold medalist Katie Ledecky; quarterback Tua Tagovailoa of the Miami Dolphins; Duke University's basketball team; the San Francisco 49ers; and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Make-A-Wish extends its thanks to Disney and ESPN for their support of the “My Wish” series as part of The Walt Disney Company’s commitment to delivering joy and comfort to children with critical illnesses and their families. Beyond assisting with this year’s series, Disney - together with its subsidiaries and affiliates, including ESPN - has been a steadfast friend of Make-A-Wish for 44 years and has helped the organization grant more than 155,000 Disney-related wishes, including the very first official wish.
