I wish to go on a Disney Cruise
Make-A-Wish is important to me because it gave my family the opportunity to experience genuine family time that was not centered around hospital stays, appointments, or treatment. During such a difficult chapter of our lives, it gave us the chance to simply be a family and make happy memories together.
The moment from my wish experience that has had the biggest impact on me and my family is being able to explore Disney’s private island. We were all able to participate in adventures together, whether that meant snorkeling, exploring, or simply relaxing on the beach. It was a time for us to recharge, have fun, and enjoy the sunshine without having to think about everything we were going through medically.
My wish experience also supported my family throughout my medical journey by giving us something to look forward to. During treatment, I spent a lot of time researching different wish ideas. It gave me something positive to focus on and brought a sense of excitement to a time that was otherwise incredibly challenging.
I believe people should donate to Make-A-Wish because it gives families who have experienced unimaginable challenges the opportunity to spend meaningful time together and create memories that can last a lifetime. It allows children and their families to experience something they may not otherwise have the opportunity to see or do. More than anything, Make-A-Wish gives families a chance to step away from the challenges of treatment and simply enjoy being together.
