Molly's wish to dress like a princess

When your child is living with MED13L Syndrome, a rare neurodevelopmental disorder, and epilepsy, so much of life revolves around doctor's appointments, therapies, and the uncertainty of what tomorrow may bring. The emotional weight is immense, and the financial demands of ongoing medical care often make things like family vacations feel out of reach. Make-A-Wish gave our family something we never could have given ourselves—a chance to simply be together, laugh, make joyful memories, and experience hope in the midst of an incredibly difficult lifelong journey.

For Molly, it was more than just a trip. She was celebrated for exactly who she is—not because of her diagnosis, but because of the incredible person she is. Seeing her light up during her conversations with the princesses and watching her feel so seen and welcomed at Give Kids The World Village and throughout Disney World are memories our family will cherish forever.

That wish didn't just change a single week; it left a lasting impact on our hearts. It inspired Molly to give back by regularly creating and donating her artwork to Make-A-Wish Wisconsin fundraisers, helping bring that same joy and hope to other children and families facing serious illnesses.
