For wish kid Yami, long days of treatment took a toll on her mentally and physically. She remembered the joy the bounce house she had as a child brought her while she endured around-the-clock medication and long hospital stays. That’s why, when it came time for her most heartfelt wish to be granted, she drew her dream princess bounce house, and her wish-granting team worked their magic to bring her special vision to life.
When Yami came home to find her drawing come to life, she was overcome with joy. She bounced until it was time to go to bed, and having her wish granted allowed her to forget about her ongoing treatment for a while and encouraged her to think of brighter days ahead.
Wishes like Yami’s take lots of planning, volunteers and resources to make it a reality. For every wish we’re able to grant, two more kids are waiting for theirs. That’s where you can help.
