Jersey Mike’s Subs in North Bergen Hosts Wish Reveal
in Celebration of Annual “Day of Giving” Campaign

North Bergen, N.J. – 8-year-old Armen of Ridgewood, New Jersey will be headed to Jersey Mike’s Subs in North Bergen on Tuesday March 25th with his parents and older sister, completely unaware that his fondest wish will soon come true. Armen courageously battles leukemia, a cancer that affects the body’s blood-forming tissues.

When Make-A-Wish asked Armen the life-changing question, “if you could have one wish, what would it be?”, Armen wished “To Be A Gemstone Miner!” Armen’s wish was inspired by his grandfather, a geologist who has been teaching Armen all about gems since he could talk. In Armen’s words, “I want to go to a special place and find something rare!” – On Tuesday, it will be revealed to Armen the special location he will be traveling to, to make this one-of-a-kind wish come true, along with a few additional surprises we have planned for him.

Make-A-Wish and Jersey Mike’s have partnered together to turn Armen’s wish into reality and will surprise him with the news that he will soon be leaving “to go to a special place” for his special wish trip!

The surprise wish reveal celebration will be hosted by Jersey Mike’s Subs, in honor of their annual Month of Giving campaign. This is the sixth year that Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurants throughout New Jersey will join forces with Make-A-Wish New Jersey raising vital funds needed for the organization’s mission to create life-changing wishes for children, like Armen, with critical illnesses.

Jersey Mike’s Subs has raised over $2.1 Million for Make-A-Wish New Jersey since their partnership began, helping to fund 250 wishes.

MORE:  Armen’s wish is being granted thanks to the support of Jersey Mike’s Subs and in celebration of the Day of Giving. Throughout the March Month of Giving, customers have been encouraged to make donations to Make-A-Wish. The campaign will culminate with Jersey Mike’s Day of Giving on Wednesday, March 26, when 130 local Jersey Mike’s will give 100 percent of the day’s sales – not just profit – to Make-A-Wish New Jersey. Whether customers order a sub, a catered meal or even a bag of chips, participating Jersey Mike’s will donate every single dollar from sales via the Jersey Mike’s app, online or instore to Make-A-Wish New Jersey.

Since Month of Giving began in 2011, Jersey Mike’s has raised more than $113 million for local charities nationwide.

Make-A-Wish New Jersey has granted over 12,500 wishes since its inception in 1983. The generous support of corporations like Jersey Mike’s Subs is critical to the organization’s continued success.
