Josie’s Mural - NYC is a Wish in Itself
To highlight Josie’s creativity and raise awareness around the life-changing work happening everyday at Make-A-Wish, Colossal Media’s Start Today program, Lamar Advertising and Make-A-Wish teamed up for a one-of-a-kind art project.
We were collectively excited to add a celebration of a wish to the bustling streets of New York by painting a mural that Wish alumni Josie conceived.
As a New Yorker, Josie created stunning artwork to capture the essence of NYC and all the attractions that make our city one of the most visited in the world! NYC is an oft-requested destination for wish kids around the country and the world.
About Josie
Josie is an 12-year-old girl who lives in Queens. Her wish to go to Walt Disney World® Resort was granted in December 2022.
Josie loves to draw and illustrate, and her favorite class in school is art. She was diagnosed with leukemia in April 2021 and has battled two forms of cancer. She received a life-saving bone marrow transplant with her brother serving as her donor.
