Join a caring community of volunteers who transform lives. Together, we can make countless wishes come true.

Volunteering with Make-A-Wish New Jersey will likely become one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. Your efforts will be returned with smiles, joy, and the remarkable feeling that comes from transforming the life of a child.

Volunteer Opportunities Throughout the State of New Jersey
Wish Granting

Work with a partner to meet with wish kids and their families to help determine their heartfelt wishes, and then team with our staff to make those wishes a reality.

Fundraising and Events

Support events hosted by either the Foundation itself or by third parties who have named the Foundation as the beneficiary of their efforts. Assistance can come in the form of monitoring an auction, selling raffle tickets, registering guests, or staffing an information table.

Volunteers can also organize and execute their own events. For more information on organizing your own event, click here.

Samuel & Josephine Plumeri Wishing Place Volunteer

Hospitality volunteers will act as “the face” of Make-A-Wish New Jersey for those that visit the Samuel and Josephine Plumeri Wishing Place.  Volunteers may also assist with various projects at our chapter office, including phone calls, mailings and research.

Outreach Volunteer

Interact with interested parties at medical outreach events with the intent of spreading the word throughout the Garden State about the mission of Make-A-Wish and the wish granting process. Our staff and volunteers attend health fairs, health-related conferences, and speak on our behalf to organizations who may be working with children who have been diagnosed with a critical illness.
