TEENAGER BATTLING CRITICAL ILLNESS WISHES FOR SHED IN BACKYARD FOR A RECORDING STUDIO

Make-A-Wish New Jersey & Subaru of Cherry Hill Partner During the 2023 Subaru Share the Love® Event to Surprise 14-Year-Old with  Brand New Music Equipment for Her New Studio

Cherry Hill, NJ – On Wednesday, December 20th, 14-year-Old Erynn, who has battled a critical, life-threatening medical condition, will arrive at Subaru of Cherry Hill to a party in her honor – a complete surprise for the courageous teen – and will be gifted with state-of-the-art music equipment. When Erynn was asked by Make-A-Wish that magical question that brings their mission to life, “if you could have one wish, what would it be?”, Erynn wished for a shed in her family’s backyard to create a music studio for her and her bandmates to practice in and even record their own music.

Last year, Erynn received the devastating news that she had been diagnosed with a life-threatening heart condition. Erynn has had a difficult journey over the past year but has turned to music to find peace and comfort. Erynn is learning to play the guitar and has formed a band with her musician friends. Music has not only given Erynn a creative outlet that gives her joy, but she has created a circle of friends and supporters, in addition to her loving family, that have a similar passion for music.

Erynn’s wish to have a shed in her family’s backyard for a music recording studio is well underway and the shed will be delivered to her home in January. On Wednesday, Erynn will arrive at Subaru of Cherry Hill to a gathering of her closest friends and family members, who have stood by her side during her difficult journey, to honor her and her bravery. Erynn will open the trunk of a Subaru on the showroom floor and to her surprise will be presented with new speakers, microphones, mixing board, stands and cables to help her begin her new musical career - and a celebration with some of her favorite music and food to follow.

Erynn’s wish is granted in partnership with Make-A-Wish New Jersey and Subaru of Cherry Hill through the annual Subaru Share the Love Event taking place now until January 2nd 2024. Throughout the nationwide campaign, for every new vehicle purchased or leased, Subaru will donate $250 to the customer’s choice of participating charities, including Make-A-Wish.

Make-A-Wish New Jersey was selected as a fifth Hometown Charity by Subaru of Cherry Hill, encouraging customers purchasing or leasing a new Subaru vehicle to have their donation go directly into fulfilling wishes like Erynn’s right here in the Garden State and resulting in a $300 donation to the local New Jersey chapter. Funds raised help send kids like Erynn on wish experiences that help joy eclipse illness, replacing fear with life-changing hope.
