Jessie's wish to have a Sweet 16

43 children are diagnosed with cancer every day. Wishes can change their lives.

Donors like you have granted more than 500,000 wishes to children with critical illnesses across the country. But we’re not done yet.

This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, you can help us make every wish come true.

For a child fighting cancer, hope is essential.
Just ask 17-year-old Jessie.

In 2019, Jessie discovered a lump on her shoulder. That one moment sparked an avalanche of doctors’ visits, biopsies, procedures and scans in attempt to identify the mass. After multiple months, Jessie received a cancer diagnosis and underwent a treatment protocol that not only took a toll on her body, but on her mind as well. After being forced to spend her milestone sixteenth birthday in the hospital, Jessie's wish for the party she had always dreamed of brought hope and joy back into her life as she spent the night celebrating how far she had come with her closest friends and family.

A wish begins with hope.
Hope begins with you.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation has had an incredible impact on our lives and we are very grateful for them to have helped to create a very special moment for our daughter.
