When 7-year-old Kendall Bresocnik was granted her wish from Make-A-Wish New Jersey in the spring, she asked her mother if she was going to be able to ride in the sleigh with AJ Silvestri during his annual delivery of holiday letters as part of the Macy’s “Believe” campaign.

Reilly Hoagland, a 13-year-old fan with cystic fibrosis from Toms River, New Jersey, was named as an honorary draft pick on Tuesday.

This is Around ocean County. Today’s guest is Tom Weatherall, CEO and President of Make A Wish New Jersey and Diane Piccheri, Howell resident whose son Niko is a Make A Wish recipient this year. Tom spoke about the organization’s continued granting of wishes for New Jersey children despite the COVID pandemic. Although the many trips to Disneyland and other places the children wished to go, they were replaced by online gift wishes and local trips. (Part 1 of 2)

Niko is a 14 year old boy battling non-hodgkins lymphoma, and decided to use part of his wish gift to give other children in the hospital a Playstation and large television, so they could enjoy playing while undergoing treatment.
