There was a superstar welcome in Jersey City on Saturday for a young boy who has shown great courage fighting a life-threatening illness.

A 16-year-old junior at Westfield High School and cancer survivor was recently granted a wish from Make-A-Wish New Jersey, but rather than go on a trip or meet a celebrity, as most wish recipients do, Mason Rockmore opted to give away his wish.

Despite facing the COVID-19 pandemic, Make-A-Wish has continued to find ways to grant wishes and deliver hope and joy to children diagnosed with critical illnesses.
