ShopRite Donates Over $21,000 to Support Make-A-Wish® New Jersey

MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ – ShopRite recently announced that its annual Make-A-Wish® fundraising campaign raised $21,449.95 to benefit Make-A-Wish New Jersey. Three ShopRite locations – Spotswood, Clark and Oakland - collected donations at checkout from April 15 through April 29. The funds raised will support the New Jersey chapter in its mission to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

Since its inception in 1983 and now celebrating its 40th anniversary, Make-A-Wish New Jersey has granted more than 12,000 wishes in the Garden State.

“We are grateful for ShopRite’s generosity and support of our chapter once again this year, helping us to continue to deliver hope, strength and joy when it is needed most,” said Michael Dominick, Assistant Vice President of Marketing & Communications for Make-A-Wish New Jersey. “Thanks to partners like ShopRite, when we ask a child with a critical illness that magical question that brings our mission to life - if you could have one wish what would it be? - we have the confidence to tell them that their wish shall be granted.”

In the fight against a critical illness, a wish serves as a catalyst for renewed strength and encouragement for every child and family on their journey.  A wish helps kids look past their limitations, families overcome anxiety and entire communities experience joy. Most importantly, wishes can improve a child’s quality of life.
