Harland's Dinosaur Dig Wish

When the pandemic hit, life for people across the globe quickly became full of questions. In the midst of the unknown, Harland was diagnosed with leukemia. Everything that once was normal and routine for Harland and his family, was now foreign. Harland quickly began spending large periods of time cooped up in a hospital room receiving a rigorous treatment regimen. Over time, restrictions began to make the hospital feel like their new home. Naturally, this became an extremely isolating experience. The opportunity of a wish became Harland’s chance to escape reality and explore a new world outside of his favorite books and movies. Harland wanted to be fully emersed in the experience of digging and excavating real-life fossils. With that, his wish was granted! Harland adventured out to the mountains of North Dakota, fully prepared to begin his search. He couldn't have been more excited for the opportunity to get his hands dirty when dealing with real fossils and discover some new ones of his own. He was ready to put his knowledge to the test on a pre-historic adventure! This wish was  provided Harland and his family with a renewed energy and strength. It served as a catalyst of hope for better days ahead. Harland and his family are able to look back on the memories of this trip as a turning point and inspiration for adventures to come!
