A New Puppy and Endless Cuddles

The thought of having a furry companion always helped brighten Kaelee’s spirits in between cancer treatments.

When Make-A-Wish gave her the chance to identify a wish, Kaelee knew she wanted her very own Saint Bernard puppy. Soon after, she embarked on a fun scavenger hunt that led her to her puppy. Kaelee was overcome with happiness the moment she met Missy, who she named after Beethoven’s girlfriend. Missy was even wearing a precious pink bow, just like the movie!

Missy’s arrival came at a special time. The day Kaelee took Missy home marked the one-year anniversary of her first chemotherapy treatment. Since then, Missy has been a constant source of joy and renewed strength. Wherever Kaelee goes, Missy is there to greet her with a wagging tail and endless cuddles.

“When Kaelee comes home, [Missy is] right beside her and barks for her,” said Ariel, Kaelee’s mom. “Missy has been Kaelee’s rock through everything.”
