When children with critical illnesses meet their favorite athletes, they see the impossible as possible. They are inspired to feel stronger and more confident, because those they deeply admire bring them hope and encouragement at a time when they need it most. 

For 20 years, ESPN and Make-A-Wish^® have partnered through the award-winning "My Wish" series, one of the longest-running and most beloved storytelling features on SportsCenter. Since debuting in 2006, My Wish has connected children facing critical illnesses with their sports heroes, sharing nearly 100 inspiring wish journeys with millions of viewers. 

Beginning Sunday, July 19th through Thursday, July 23rd, ESPN returns on SportsCenter with five unforgettable stories, following each child from the initial wish surprise to the moment they meet their sports heroes. The series showcases the hope, strength and joy that wishes can bring to children and families during some of life's most challenging moments. 

Emmy Award-winning reporter Chris Connelly returns once again to guide viewers through each story. Connelly's storytelling captures both the emotional depth and authenticity of each wish experience. This year’s series includes wishes granted by WNBA star A'ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces, world No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler, WWE superstar Seth Rollins, Fernando Tatis Jr. of the San Diego Padres and the University of Tennessee Vols football team.

Make-A-Wish extends its gratitude to ESPN and The Walt Disney Company for their longstanding support. For more than 45 years, Disney has helped grant more than 175,000 wishes, including the very first official wish, and remains the world's largest wish-granter for Make-A-Wish.
