Get in the Halloween spirit and visit Spider Manor during October. From the hand-carved Jack-O’-Lanterns to the spooky skeletons and giant spiders, there is something for everyone. Plan to spend some time because there is a lot to see. We’ve been decorating our house since 1996 and every year the display gets bigger. We enjoy making many of the decorations and we love the positive feedback we get from friends and neighbors. The singing pumpkins and dancing skeletons will be back and will serenade and dance for you nightly from 6:00-9:00!

This will be the fourth year that we sponsor a Make-A-Wish fundraiser. Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses who reside in the DC area. Wish kids face any number of critical illnesses such as cancer, pediatric AIDS, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Duchene’s muscular dystrophy, kidney and heart disease. Wish kids are some of the bravest and sweetest kids you'll ever know. They wish to go to a theme park, attend a sporting event or concert, meet a celebrity, or give back to causes close to them.

A wish brings healing beyond medicine. A wish offers the power of choice when children experience a devastating illness beyond their control. The wish journey fuels courage, builds resilience and shapes a child and family forever.

I’ve seen the power of Make-A-Wish and the profound difference it can make in the life of a sick child, like Alek Nelson. I worked with Alek's dad, Dave, at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and know how Alek’s Wish of going to Disney World impacted the entire family.
