Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic offers some special affinity funds that allow major donors and corporate partners to focus their support on specific areas of passion.

Rush wishes create a meaningful wish experience in a short amount of time, providing precious memories for families. Rush wishes are often granted within days, and funds are immediately required. 

Because rush wishes are impossible to predict, we have created this fund to be ready to grant transformative experiences that will uplift the wish child and their family during an extremely challenging time. Each year, we grant an average of 30 rush wishes. While the vast majority of wish kids go on to live years beyond their wish, sadly not every child has time to wait.

Affinity funds will be allocated to cover the direct cost of wishes plus 10% indirect expenses. If monies remain in the fund at the end of the fiscal year (August 31), they will become available to be used on general wish expenses.
