Location: Hybrid/Bethesda Office (2 days- Tuesday/Wednesday from Memorial Day to Labor Day; Tuesday/Thursday from Labor Day to Memorial Day)

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Development Coordinator provides critical operational, administrative, and project management support to the Development team with a primary focus on donor data management, reporting, and fundraising and campaign operations. This role helps drive organizational fundraising success through strong project execution, donor research, database management, and cross-functional coordination.
Campaign & Project Coordination
- Develop and maintain campaign timelines, project plans, and internal tracking systems
- Coordinate campaign meetings, agendas, follow-up actions, and meeting materials
- Track campaign deliverables and ensure timely completion of internal deadlines
- Monitor campaign progress and provide regular performance updates to leadership
- Coordinate naming opportunity tracking and related campaign documentation
- Manage proposal production coordination including formatting, assembly, and internal review processes
- Support presentation and deck formatting for donor meetings, campaign updates and leadership presentations
- Manage follow-up tracking and internal accountability for fundraising activities and campaign initiatives
- Coordinate vendors and external partners supporting campaign or development initiatives
Donor Research & Database Management
- Manage donor qualification processes including research and prospect identification for individuals, foundations, and corporations
- Conduct wealth screenings and maintain updated donor intelligence and fundraising data
- Serve as the primary team resource for maintaining and updating the donor database
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of donor records, moves management activity, and fundraising documentation
- Support donor portfolio management processes and prospect tracking
Reporting & Analytics
- Generate reports and provide data analysis to support fundraising strategy and decision-making
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs), campaign metrics, and revenue forecasting
- Analyze fundraising activity and donor trends to support development planning and performance management
- Maintain dashboards and reporting tools to support leadership visibility into fundraising progress
Development Operations & Team Support
- Provide operational and administrative support to the Development team as needed
- Assist with internal fundraising event support during peak campaign and event periods
- Help ensure strong coordination and communication across Development, Communications, and Events teams
- Support ongoing process improvement efforts to strengthen fundraising operations and team efficiency

- Strong operational support that enables frontline fundraisers to focus on donor engagement and revenue generation
- Computer/System Skills: Proficiency in Canva and Microsoft Office. Extensive experience working with Salesforce and Business/Power BI (Business Intelligence) platform and fundraising reporting

- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience: Two-Four (2-4) years of experience in development, fundraising operations, project coordination, nonprofit administration, or related field
