Our DEI Council

The Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic DEI Council is committed to helping create a positive, open and welcoming workplace.
We are committed to cultivating an environment that values people of all backgrounds and experiences; promoting a workplace where everyone feels respected and connected. We believe collaboration across teams and among people with varied perspectives builds a stronger community that can better serve our wish families.
To do this, we aim to:
- See and promote the unique quality of each individual
- Ensure each individual feels valued and respected
- Provide opportunities for engagement and advancement
- Recruit, develop and retain employees with diverse backgrounds and experience
Our chapter recognizes that DEI efforts are ever-evolving work, and we welcome feedback about how we may improve our initiatives to create the most inclusive experience possible for our staff, supporters, wish children and their families.
