Bear Takes on Bananaland
Bear is an 11-year-old powerhouse from Alexandria, Virginia. The youngest of three brothers, he's always had something to prove—and he’s been doing just that with every snap, pitch, and goal he plays. Whether leading his flag football team as a fearless quarterback, sprinting across the lacrosse field, or swinging for the fences on the baseball diamond, Bear stands out not just for his athletic talent, but for the undeniable swag he brings to everything he does.
Living with a genetic disorder hasn’t slowed him down one bit. If anything, it’s fueled his drive. His passion for sports is electric, and he’s got the heart of a champion. His biggest inspiration? The wildest, most entertaining team in baseball—the Savannah Bananas.
So, when it came time to choose his wish, there was no hesitation. He wanted to meet the Bananas in person. And just like that, Bear and his family packed their bags and headed to Bananaland—Savannah, Georgia.

The moment he walked into the Bananas' locker room, the energy was electric. He was greeted like a true pro, met every player, and was handed his very own jersey—his name proudly stitched on the back. But that wasn’t all. The team made it official with a signing ceremony, giving him a one-day contract and officially making him a Banana.

Bear is more than a fan. He’s a leader, a fighter, and now—forever—a Banana.
