Analia's Tropical Adventure

9-year-old Analia from Springfield, VA is a happy kid who loves spending time with her family. She has a wide variety of interests, including swimming, dancing, and singing her favorite songs- she even makes up her own songs describing what she is doing at any given moment! Despite the challenges that come along with battling cancer, Analia remains upbeat and positive, taking on every day with a smile.

When Analia and her family met with the wish-granting volunteers, it became evident that a tropical vacation would be a great way for the family to spend quality time together. During their meeting, Analia drew a beautiful picture of her and her family on the beach, which soon became a reality when her wish of going to St. Thomas was granted.

Analia’s itinerary was full of fun adventures for the entire family, as well as days dedicated to spending time on the beach. An exciting part of the trip was when Analia and her family visited Coral World Ocean Park. The family engaged in playful activities with dolphins in a sea sanctuary, such as offering hand signals for the dolphins to perform tricks and feeding them!

The adventures didn’t stop there though- Analia and her family also did SNUBA® for the first time, an experience similar to scuba diving. They explored the natural beauty of the coral reef and the incredible variety of sea creatures, a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.  

The wish trip to St. Thomas allowed Analia and her family to relax and disconnect from reality for a couple of days, something they all greatly needed. We know that as Analia continues her medical journey, she will inspire those around her with her zest for life.
