Silver Star Transportation was created with just one Rolls Royce back in 1979. Ever since that first car, this family-owned business has grown into a fleet of vehicles serving local region.

As we celebrate 40 Years of Wishes, we’re proud to spotlight dedicated chapter supporter, Silver Star Transportation. For over 20 years, Make-A-Wish has partnered with Silver Star Transportation to provide car service for our wish kids. They have helped turn local support into life-changing happiness and hope for children with critical illnesses across our region.

Silver Star Transportation has truly become an integral part of the Wish Journey, providing VIP service which typically kick starts their Wish Day. They serve our families by providing worry-free rides to the airport, concerts, shopping sprees, and more.

For over 10 years, the Silver Star Transportation team have been dedicated partners in creating life-changing wish experiences. Their commitment extends far beyond transportation, they have become an extension of the Make‑A‑Wish family - from participating in special wish reveals to stepping up during the height of the pandemic to ensure wish children like Zahir could safely experience the joy and hope of a wish come true.

Mario recalls, driving one of our wish families to the airport for a Walt Disney World wish, and said “I remember the light she brought into the car at 4am, nosediving right into the limo. She was beyond excited.”  

It takes a community of people to elevate a wish to create a transformative experience for the child. When Mario was asked about what advice would you give to people in the community who want to volunteer for Make-A-Wish he said, “You do more impact that you think on just one girl or boy, the littlest things such as putting balloons in the limo, driving to their house and welcoming them, all of it matters to these kids and families. The little things matter the most.”

As we celebrate our 40 Years of Wishes, Silver Star Transportation continues to show us hope and joy can be found in the details and in the simplest ways. From picking up our wish families, decorating the limo or motorcoach, and their drivers bringing excitement and light into our Wish Kids experience.  They continue to show us that when community comes together, we can create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses
