Joey has spent nearly his entire life overcoming challenges with extraordinary resilience. Diagnosed with a nervous system disorder at just 18 months old, he has faced years of treatments and hospital visits while managing epilepsy. Through it all, Joey’s bright spirit, love of sports, and deep faith have remained constant sources of strength.

One place, however, has held a special place in his heart for nearly two decades: the Miracle League of Westchester. Since he was six years old, Saturday mornings on the baseball field have brought him friendship, community, and the chance to play the game he loves in an environment designed for athletes with disabilities.

When it came time to choose his Make-A-Wish experience, Joey made a remarkable decision. Rather than wishing for something for himself, he chose to give back to the organization that had given him so much. His wish was to donate an equipment shed to the Miracle League of Westchester, helping ensure future players and families can continue creating memories on the field for years to come.

More than 30 family members and friends gathered to celebrate Joey’s act of generosity. For his family, the day became about more than granting a wish. It was an opportunity to recognize Joey’s journey, honor the community that has supported him, and celebrate the lasting impact he continues to have on those around him.

As Joey’s mother, Angie, reflected, the greatest gift wasn't the wish itself, but the feeling of being supported. "Make-A-Wish is not just there for the child, it's a family experience," she shared. "It's a memory that stays with you. Knowing that somebody was thinking about him in that moment meant everything."

For Joey, this wish was a way to say thank you. For everyone who witnessed it, it was a powerful reminder that the impact of a wish can come full circle.
