Brian's wish to meet Ozzy

Brian's Wish Story & Impact

Diagnosed with a life-threatening heart condition in second grade, Brian's journey, marked by two valve replacement surgeries, took a positive turn when his wish to meet Ozzy Osbourne was granted in 2003.

Brian, then a high school freshman was engrossed in a world of music. "I was a big metal head," recalls Brian. Concerts were uncharted territory because of recent surgery but Brian thought, “if it’s my wish, my parents will have to say yes!”

Ever since his wish, music has been Brian's jam. He earned a bachelor's in art, followed by a Master's in Business. Right out of the gate, he landed his first job as a graphic designer at Madison Square Garden, rocking the design scene for live events and concerts for nearly 10 years.

“Art isn’t the easiest thing to make a career out of, but for me it had a lot to do with pursuing what makes you happy. I think that’s something that Make-A-Wish instilled in me. They help kids continue to pursue happiness through the toughest of times.

From the joys of having his wish granted to meeting his favorite musician, to pursuing his passions in the music industry, Brian's journey led him to meeting his wife and earlier this year, 20 years after his wish was granted, he welcomed his son into the world, Steven.

With your support, we are committed to granting wishes that can be turning points in the lives of kids and their families, just like it was for Brian. Right now, in the Hudson Valley there are more than 220 kids waiting for their wishes to come true.

Please consider making a life-changing donation to give children the opportunity to hope for a better tomorrow and to see their dreams come true.  The impact of your donation goes beyond the tangible – it creates moments of joy, resilience, and lasting memories for wish kids and their families.

My pursuit of happiness in life continues. I'm always looking for the next exciting thing, and right now the biggest thing for me is being a dad. Nothing compares to it.
