Inspired People: Meet Allyse

The faces behind the mission at Make-A-Wish® America make up a group of diverse people working together toward a common goal: to grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Our dynamic, inspired culture centers around five core values: child focus, integrity, impact, innovation and community. In our #InspiredPeople series, we highlight exceptional employees who exemplify these values and work hard to help us get closer to achieving our vision of granting the wish of every eligible child. Meet Allyse.

Allyse serves as the executive assistant to the CEO and liaison between the National Board of Directors and Make-A-Wish America.

Allyse is proud that our mission is part of her life’s story – whether it has been as a chapter volunteer, meetings and events intern turned temporary employee, corporate alliances coordinator or vital resource for our CEO and National Board of Directors – all have been a part of her Make-A-Wish journey.

“Throughout the numerous roles I’ve held over the years, I've had the opportunity to build relationships across the organization that have made me feel like part of a community,” Allyse said. “I’m beyond grateful for my colleagues and the generosity they showcase through helping me when I don't have the answers I need and lifting me up whenever I’m having a rough day!”

To Allyse, being part of the Make-A-Wish community means helping make the impossible possible for children during their toughest moments in life.

“We all have our unique functions and roles, and it’s inspiring to see how everyone’s strengths come together to make our mission of creating life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses possible. I'm constantly reminded of how important our mission is and I try to do my work in a way that would make our wish kids and families proud.”

We have no doubt that she does.
