We invite you to experience the transformational power of the question we have asked our wish kids every day for the last 40 years. Our inaugural Wish Ball | Among the Stars will welcome 700 guests to The Post Oak Hotel on May 3, 2024, for a night filled with the magic of a wish. 

Since 1984, Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana has granted more than 10,800 wishes and we have over 1,000 local wishes in our pipeline. The inaugural Wish Ball will celebrate our success while raising the critical funds needed to grant more wishes.

A wish is a transformative experience. Medical providers credit the wish journey with overcoming sadness, hopelessness, anxiety, depression, and loneliness in over 90% of wish kids. Nine out of 10 medical providers say a wish increased compliance with treatment, and physicians believe the wish experience gives more than 95% of children the strength to continue to fight, so physicians often add a wish to a child’s treatment plan.

With funding support, we can increase the number of wishes we provide, reaching more children and meeting the need for wishes for children with critical illnesses.
