The three words most often used to describe wish kid Karson are “sweet,” “intelligent,” and “loving.”  Currently battling congenital heart disease, Karson’s kind spirit and creative, entrepreneurial mind are constantly active. In fact, one of the most popular destinations in his Port Arthur neighborhood is his custom shop where he sells snacks to his friends and neighbors! 

Make-A-Wish and Valero surprised Karson with a party to commemorate his wish day getting closer.  After a “blue carpet” welcome, Valero presented Karson with several gifts to build even more excitement for his upcoming wish. Then, Karson played various games led by Valero staff, including an activity relating to the refinery’s engineering projects.
