Bossier City Wish Kid with Passion for Giving Back will have a Shopping Spree on March 12
Wish Kid AJ’s shopping spree wish will take place at Pierre Bossier Mall on March 12
WHAT:           Make-A-Wish® Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana is granting 18-year-old AJ, who is bravely battling lymphoma, a one-of-a-kind shopping spree wish. AJ opted for a shopping spree because he loves the thrill of retail therapy and discovering great bargains at stores like Burlington and TJ Maxx. After a long hiatus from shopping, he finds the experience incredibly therapeutic and rejuvenating and looks forward to his wish day.
AJ has always had a passion for helping people and has been a volunteer firefighter since before his illness. On March 31, he will be entering the Fire Academy. Make-A-Wish® has been a steadfast supporter throughout his journey, and his wish has empowered him to keep pursuing his dream of becoming a fireman.
From the moment a wish is identified to its fulfillment, Make-A-Wish stands by each child, offering hope and strength. A wish creates a turning point in a child’s treatment and recovery – guiding them out of darkness and isolation, sparking hope, and bringing back the piece of childhood that seemed lost.
